make feel empowered other women too. For this reason, she shares her
knowledge and teaches this art to young women in order to pass down
the art to new generations. She recognizes the importance of this
art and fair trade for the development of the Wayuu Community. She

patience, passion and attention to details. Thanks to the creation of
Nina Mochila bags, Iiwa-Kashi can afford education for her children
in good schools. Nina Mochila has helped women like Iiwa-Kashi to
become monetarily independent and to feel more empowered and
independent.

Jimmai has been creating bags since she was 14 years old. She ensures
that every bag is woven with passion, love and commitment and that
this craftsmanship has help her to grow and to feel more empowered.
Her work consists in creating the designs and weave the bags.
Weaving Nina Mochila bags is an integral part of her life and Nina
Mochila has helped her to be independent and help the Community Wayuu.
